I set a goal this year to shoot a buck on a farm where I had never been successful before—and it turned out to be my best hunting season ever.

This farm is extremely tough to hunt due to CRP contracts limiting access, but I knew of two bucks that were both 5½ years old and had the potential to be giants. They didn’t disappoint.

On Election Day, I arrowed the first buck with my bow. With just 8 days left in the season, I was able to tag the second mature buck on the same farm—another bow kill!

This hunt represents more than just filling tags—it’s about setting goals, sticking with the grind, and finding success even on the hardest properties to hunt.
